During the month of August, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 32 defendants in 19 cases. Additionally, 41 defendants' papers were referred to the Mufti in 16 other cases. Two convicted individuals were executed in two cases.

It should be noted that these numbers represent the minimum that researchers were able to determine through families and media reports.
