During the month of July, Egyptian courts issued death sentences against 49 defendants in 29 cases. In addition, death sentences were carried out against two individuals, while the case files of 28 defendants in 16 other cases were referred to the Grand Mufti for his opinion.

It should be noted that these numbers represent the minimum that researchers were able to determine through families and media reports.
